December Declared to be Also Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The National Breast Cancer Institute, in concert with the International Organization of Standardization of Dates and Time and Imperial Chemistry Industries, announced today that December will also be Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The month of December will join October and many other days and occasions throughout the year as periods of time during which people are encouraged to be aware of breast cancer.

Seasonal Depression Awareness month, which was formerly observed in December, will heretofore be observed in July.

"Breast cancer is a very serious disease and needs all the awareness it can get," remarked NBCI spokesman Tom Feeney.

IOSDT officials revealed breast cancer earned the additional month of awareness over organizations representing colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, skin cancer, cystic fibrosis, Huntington's disease, Crohn's disease, sickle cell anemia, hypochondira, obsessive compulsive disorder and every other type of cancer.

The publicist for every other type of cancer could not be reached for comment.

In light of the additional month of breast cancer awareness, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced players will resume wearing pink uniforms at the conclusion of Military Appreciation Month.

In related news, the months of January, February, March, April, June, August, and September have been named as Also Military Appreciation Month.
