Senile Grandpa Thinks He Might Have Been Gay

Grandfather of four and great-grandfather of eight Al Chandler of Dunlap, Arkansas came out of the closet, sort of, at the ripe old age of 81 this week.

Chandler, a lifelong Evangelical Christian and Republican recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, says he thinks he was gay.

"He started saying he thought he might have been gay a couple of weeks ago," Chandler’s granddaughter Julie Starks said. "Now he says it constantly. That he's gay."

"I'm gay," Chandler recently told a cashier at a Taco Loco restaurant in nearby Lonsdale. "I think."

Chandler's eldest son Michael, 58, disagrees.

"Pop's not gay. He's a conservative, Christian man who loved my mother very much," Michael stated. "He's just a little bit confused."

The elder Chandler made a sour face and shook his head at the mention of his late wife, Phyllis.

"I'm gay," he said.
